The dignified and opulent city of Beijing has long captured imaginations with its forbidden palaces, emperors and exotic food, wrapped in a history of intrigue and misery.
In the front of the buildings are actors of the Peking Opera. The woman is ioulently dressed, her hair elaborately coiffed, she is the Empress. The man wears an has a fearsome expression and beard. Like Japanese kabuki, all the actors, even those playing female roles, are male. Most Peking Opera stories come from Chinese history and legends.
All the famous buildings if Beijing City are shown, including the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, CCTV Broadcast Station and the China World Trade Center Tower II. Behind them are the Olympic “Bird Nest” Stadium, Soho Shopping Center, and in the back, the Great Wall of China.
