Description
It is impossible to be sad in the presence of a cherry tree in full bloom. That’s just a fact.
Their branches, heavy with pillowy flowers, bow to greet you as you pass by, and their sweet scent lingers in your memory as the true sign of spring. I designed this card to cheer up a friend who was having a rough time, and it will brighten the day of someone you care for, too.
Put a lamp or bright daylight behind the card to watch all the blossoms twinkle between shadows and sparkle.

Cherry Blossoms
Cherry blossoms represent the fragility and the beauty of life. They remind us that life is overwhelmingly beautiful but also tragically short. Cherry trees bloom for a short time each year in brilliant profusion, serving as a visual reminder of how precious and precarious life is.
In Japan people come together to view the cherry tree blossoms and marvel at their beauty, in a festival called Hanami. They aren’t just thinking about the flowers themselves, but also about the larger meaning and deep cultural tradition the cherry blossom tree.
This is a card to give a mother, a wife, a Valentine, a grandmother, a gardener, for a Japanese friend or someone who admires Japanese culture, for an anniversary, wedding, a teacher, a birthday, new birth or a new home.
