Japanese theme pop up card
At the top of the card is Mount Fuji, one of the world’s most beautiful mountains. A perfectly symmetrical volcanic cone, Mt. Fuji is Japan’s most popular attraction.
Next are the pink cherry blooms framing the snow-covered Fuji Mountain. Cherry blossoms are Japan’s national flower. Known as Sakura in Japanese, cherry trees in bloom are a symbol of renewal and hope.
Racing across the landscape, Japanese bullet-trains (shinkansen) are world-renowned for their efficiency and punctuality.
In front are two sumo wrestlers. Sumo (相撲, sumō) is a Japanese style of wrestling and Japan’s national sport. There are no weight restrictions or classes in sumo, meaning that wrestlers could be matched off against someone many times their size. As a result, weight gain is an essential part of sumo training. Sumo dates back thousands of years, and to this day maintains many ancient traditions.
The canopy that hangs over the ring is modeled after the roof of a Shinto temple shrine, indicating that the ring itself is a holy place.
