Dino Facts:
T-Rex grew as long as 42 feet, as tall as 20 feet, and weighed as much as 9 tons. He had a massive skull, bone-crushing teeth, small arms and two-fingered hands. His muscular legs, strong thighs and powerful outstretched tail counterbalanced his enormous head. His vision was awesome. Like birds of prey he used his sharp sight to hunt. He could see in a wider spectrum of color than humans.
What is T-Rex’s real name? Tyrannosaurus Rex means “king of the tyrant lizards”: “tyranno” means tyrant in Greek; “saurus” means lizard in Greek, and “rex” means “king” in Latin. He was a North American dinosaur. The first T-Rex fossil was found in Montana in 1902 by Barnum Brown.
